AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PROVISIONS OF THE TRAFFIC CONTROL
PROVISIONS OF TITLE 6 OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK
GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Elk Grove Village
Police Department that amendments to the Traffic Control Provisions of
Title 6 of the Village Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village are in
order to provide for better safety of pedestrians using various
crossings located next to parks and or schools and that have a high
volume of pedestrian traffic.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage,
Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That Section 6-4-3-1 One and Two -Way Stop
Intersections of the Village Code of the Village of Elk Grove
Village be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the
following:
Borman North Intersection
Galleon Lane
Meegan Way
Verde Lane
West Glenn Trail
Long Boat Drive
Volkamer Trail
Creat Avenue
Section 2: That Section 6-4-4, Yield Right -of -Way
Intersections of the Village Code of the Village of Elk Grove
Village be and the same is hereby amended by removing the
requirements to yield the right-of-way at both intersections
located at Borman Court and to read as follows:

Borman Court, south
B.
West Glenn Trail
Section 3: That Section 6-4-4, Yield Right -of -Way
Intersections of the Village Code of the Village of Elk Grove
Village be and the same is hereby amended by removing thereto the
following:
A.
Galleon Lane, north
bound
Meegan Way, west
bound
Verde Lane, south -
westbound
B.
Longboat Drive
Volkamer Trail
Crest Avenue
Section 4, That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to
publish this Ordinance in Pamphlet Form.
Section 5: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
according to law.
