AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3 LIQUOR CONTROL OF TITLE 3
OF THE VILLAGE CODE BY ELIMINATING THE CLASS C
CLASSIFICATION IN ITS ENTIRETY AND REDUCING THE NUMBER OF
CLASS A, CLASS AA, CLASS D AND CLASS DD LICENSES BY ONE (1)
DUE TO THE TERMINATION OF ALCOHOL SALES AND BUSINESS
CLOSING OF VARIOUS ESTABLISHMENTS IN THE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Village has been advised that Buster's
Billiards and Sports Bar has abandoned their premises and that
GTNS Corporation DBA Elk Grove Motel has eliminated the sale of
alcohol at its premises; and
WHEREAS, the Village has further determined that no clubs
or organizations have requested a Class C license and therefore
it is deemed necessary to terminate that classification.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Chapter 3, Section 3-3-7, Number of
Licenses of the Village Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village
be amended as follows:
Class "A" Liquor License be decreased from thirty (30)
to twenty-nine (29).
Class "AA" Liquor Licenses be decreased from three (3)
to two (2).
Class "D" Liquor Licenses be decreased from seven (7)
to six (6).
Class "DD" Liquor Licenses be decreased from one (1)
to zero (0).
Section 2: That Section 3-3-6 Classification of Licenses
be amended by deleting therefrom the reference to the Class C
License and that Section 3-3-7 Number of Licenses be amended by
deleting therefrom the reference to Class C License.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
