AN ORDINANCE RESCINDING ORDINANCE NO. 3708 AND RESOLUTION NO.28-21
WITH RESPECT TO THE MUNICIPAL GAS USE TAX
WHEREAS, on May 25, 2021, the Village of Elk Grove Village adopted Ordinance No.
3708 amending Section 3-2-12-C of the Village Code and adopted Resolution 28-21 authorizing the
Mayor and Village Clerk to Execute an Agreement with the Northern Illinois Gas Company; and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance and Resolution inadvertently established an incorrect rate of the
tax to be imposed and thus it is deemed necessary and appropriate to rescind same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Ordinance No. 3708 and Resolution No. 28-21, both being passed and
approved on May 25, 2021 are hereby rescinded.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication according to law.
