HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2836 - 6/12/2001 - SPECIAL USE/55 GAYLORD STORDINANCE NO. 2836 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO VILLAGE AUTOWERKS, INC. TO PERMIT THE OPERATION OF AN AUTOMOBILE REPAIR GARAGE ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 55 GAYLORD STREET, ELK GROVE VILLAGE WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village, acting as a Zoning Commission, at a public hearing duly called and held according to law, considered the question of granting a Special Use Permit for the operation of an automobile repair garage in an I-1 Industrial Zoned District to Village Autowerks, Inc. for property located at 55 Gaylord Street, Elk Grove Village and legally described hereinafter; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees, after having reviewed the recommendation and finding of said Plan Commission, find and believe it to be in the best interest of the Village that said Special Use Permit be granted. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove, Counties of Cook and DuPage Illinois as follows: Section 1: That there be granted a Special Use Permit pursuant to Section 7E-2 of the Zoning Ordinance to permit the operation of an automobile repair garage in an I-1 Industrial Zoned District to Village Autowerks, Inc. for property located at 55 Gaylord Street, Elk Grove Village and legally described as follows: Lot 5 in Higgins Road Commercial Subdivision Unit No. 7, being a Resubdivision in Sections 21 and 22, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal meridian, according to the Plat thereof recorded on March 15, 1966 as Document No. 19767024 in Cook County, Illinois 1 Subject to the following conditions: 1. Installation of slats in the existing fence owned by the neighboring property owner to the south and that the petitioner will be responsible for the construction of a new fence along the southern property line if the existing fence is ever removed; 2. Installation of a six-foot high solid fence with a gate along the northern lease line (from the party wall east to the eastern property line); and 3. Installation of a locked gate at the southwest corner of the rear yard. Section 2: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
