HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2843 - 7/17/2001 - ZONING VARIATION/941 WILSHIRE AVEORDINANCE NO. 2843 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTION 3-6:D.2 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO THE LOCATION OF DETACHED ACCESSORY STRUCTURE TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 600 SQUARE FOOT GARAGE (24 FEET BY 25 FEET) WHICH WOULD ENCROACH APPROXIMATELY 2 FEET INTO THE REQUIRED SIX (6) FOOT SIDE YARD ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 941 WILSHIRE AVENUE, ELK GROVE VILLAGE (ACEVEDO) WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals, at a public hearing duly called and held according to law, considered the question of granting a variation of Section 3-6:D.2 of the Zoning Ordinance pertaining to the construction of detached accessory structures in the required side yard to permit the construction of a 600 square foot detached garage which would encroach approximately two (2) feet into the required six (6) foot side yard line on property located at 941 Wilshire Avenue, Elk Grove Village and legally described hereinafter; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, after having considered the recommendation and finding of said Zoning Board of Appeals find and believe that sufficient hardship exists so as to justify the granting of said variation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage Illinois as follows: Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Section 3-6:D.2 of the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to the location of detached accessory structures within the side lot line area to permit the construction of a 600 square foot garage which would encroach approximately two (2) feet into the required side lot line area on property located at 941 Wilshire Avenue and legally described as follows: Lot 2241 in Elk Grove Village Section 7, being a Subdivision in Section 33, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the Plat thereof Recorded June 10, 1959 as Document Number 17564680, in Cook County Illinois Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
