AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5, VILLAGE PRESIDENT, OF
TITLE 1 OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE
VILLAGE, BY ADOPTING THE TERM "MAYOR" AS THE OFFICIAL TITLE
OF THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF THE VILLAGE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 1-5-1 of Chapter 5 Village
President of Title 1 of the Village Code be amended by adding
thereto the following:
The term "Village President" as used in any ordinance,
resolution, motion or other section of the Village Code or as
used in any other action of the corporate authorities shall mean
"Mayor"
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
