AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO VOICESTREAM
WIRELESS TO PERMIT THE INSTALLATION OF A TWELVE (12) PANEL
ANTENNA ARRAY AND MASONRY EQUIPMENT SHELTER ON THE VILLAGE
WATER TOWER AND SURROUNDING PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1141 HAWTHORNE
LANE, ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, at a public hearing duly called and held according to
law, considered the question of granting a special use permit to
permit the construction of a twelve (12) panel antenna array at a
height of 55 feet on the Village's water tower site at 1141
Hawthorne Lane and the installation of an equipment shelter
adjacent thereto; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Elk Grove Village, after having reviewed the recommendation and
finding of said Plan Commission, find and believe that it is in
the best interest of the Village to grant such special use
permit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a special use permit to
VoiceStream Wireless to permit the construction and installation
of a twelve (12) panel antenna array at a height of 55 feet and
an adjacent equipment shelter on a 15 foot by 20 foot leased area
on property on the Village's water tower site located at 1141
Hawthorne Lane and legally described as follows:
Outlot F in Huntington Chase Phase Two, Being a
Subdivision of a part of Section 31, Township 41
North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal
Meridian According to the Plat Thereof Recorded
On June 5, 1995 as Document 95363890 in Cook
County, Illinois
Section 2: That the special use permit is subject to
VoiceStream constructing the masonry equipment shelter in
conformance with the style and materials of the existing shelters
on the site and further subject to Village staff approval of
landscaping around the entire perimeter of the 15 foot by
20 foot leased area.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
