AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTION 3-6:1) AND 7-1
OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO PRINCIPAL STRUCTURES
IN THE 20 FOOT REQUIRED REAR YARD TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION
OF A ROOM ADDITION WHICH WOULD ENCROACH APPROXIMATELY 8.03
FEET INTO THE REQUIRED REAR YARD ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1821
BANGOR COURT, ELK GROVE VILLAGE (RYAN)
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals, at a Public Hearing, duly
called and held according to law, considered the question of granting a
variation of Sections 3-6:D and 7-1 of the Zoning Ordinance pertaining
to principal structures in the 20 foot required rear yard; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees, of the Village of
Elk Grove Village, after having considered the recommendation and
finding of said Zoning Board of Appeals, find and believe that
sufficient hardship exists so as to justify the granting of said
variation;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DUPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Sections 3-6:D
and 7-1 of the Zoning Ordinance, as same pertain to the location of
principal structures in the 20 foot required rear yard to permit the
construction of a 15 foot by 19 foot room addition which would encroach
approximately 8.03 feet into the required rear yard on property located
at 1821 Bangor Court and legally described as follows:
Lot 53 in Plat of Resubdivision Number 5, for a Portion of
Winston Grove Section 23 " B" , being a Resubdivision of Part
Of Section 26, Township 41 North, Range 10, East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
