HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2733 - 2/8/2000 - ZONING VARIATION/567 MONTEGO DR0 ORDINANCE NO. 2737 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTION 7-1 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO MAXIMUM FLOOR AREA RATIO IN AN R-3 ZONED DISTRICT TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A ROOM ADDITION WHICH WOULD THEREAFTER EXCEED THE MAXIMUM FLOOR AREA RATIO OF 0.40 (4096) ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 567 MONTEGO DRIVE, ELK GROVE VILLAGE (NITTI) WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals, at a Public Hearing duly called and held according to law, considered the question of granting a variation from Section 7-1 of the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to maximum floor area ratio in an R-3 zoned district to permit the construction of an addition to the rear of an existing home that would exceed the maximum floor area ratio of 0.40 (40%,) on property located at 567 Montego Drive, Elk Grove Village, and legally described hereinafter; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees, after having considered the recommendation and finding of said Zoning Board of Appeals, find and believe that sufficient hardship exists so as to justify the granting of said variation; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Section 7-1 of the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to maximum floor area ratio in an R-3 zoned district to permit the construction of an addition to the rear of an existing home that would create a floor area ratio of 0.49 (49%) which exceeds the maximum floor area ratio of 0.40 (40%) on property located at 567 Montego Drive, Elk Grove Village and legally described as follows: Lot 56 in Circle Bay Subdivision, Being a Subdivision In the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 32, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
