OF THE VILLAGE CODE BY ADDING THERETO A NEW PARAGRAPH PERTAINING TO MAXIMUM GROUND COVERAGE FOR DRIVEWAYS IN THE FRONT YARD BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DUPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That Section 8 -8A -3:A. of the Village Code be in the same is hereby amended by adding thereto a new paragraph (paragraph 6) which shall read as follows: 6. Ground Coverage: Paved surfaces within the front yard areas of residentially zoned districts shall not exceed 50%. Front yard area shall be defined as that portion of the yard extending the full width of the lot and measured between the front lot line and the building line, or the front and side lot lines and the building lines for corner lots. Section 2: That any person, firm or corporation that violates any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not less than $25.00 nor more than $500.00 for each offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation continues to exist. Section 3: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form. Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law. Ord[rontyrdm xl.doc PA ORDINANCE NO. 2741 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING VARIATION OF SECTIONS 3-6:D.1 AND 7-1 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO STRUCTURES IN THE REQUIRED SIDE YARD AREA TO PERMIT THE INSTALLATION OF A FIREPLACE WHICH WILL ENCROACH 2.0 FEET INTO THE REQUIRED SIDE YARD ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 420 NEW YORK LANE, ELK GROVE VILLAGE (AMUNDSON) WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals at a Public Hearing, duly called and held according to law, considered the question of granting a variation of Sections 3-6:D.1 and 7-1 of the Zoning Ordinance to permit the installation of a fireplace which would encroach 2.0 feet into the required side yard on property located at 420 New York Lane, Elk Grove Village and legally described hereinafter; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village after having considered the recommendation and finding of said Zoning Board of Appeals, find and believe that sufficient hardship exists so as to justify the granting of said variation; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage,Illinois as follows: Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Sections 3- 6:D.1 and 7-1 of the Zoning Ordinance as they pertain to attached structures in the required side yard area, to permit the installation of a fireplace which would encroach approximately 2.0 feet into the required 8 foot side yard on property located at 420 New York Lane, Elk Grove Village, Illinois and legally described as follows: Lot 13 in Winston Grove Section 23-B Resubdivision No. 2, being a Subdivision of part of Section 26, Township 41 North, Range 10, East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the plat thereof Recorded September 20, 1984, as Document 27262583, in Cook County, Illinois Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
