Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Village President and Board of Trustees on December 10, 2019, this Executive Session was
called to consider review of Litigation.

The Village Attorney provided an update on the Martha Lane water theft. The water has been
shut off, and the property owner has reconnected to the well. The property owner currently owes
$30,000. The Village Attorney offered to take the matter to the Village Board to allow him to re-
connect to Village water and pay the unincorporated rate of 150%. The property owner is now
claiming the Village knew about and approved the connection and his free water. The Village
Attorney noted that this claim has no basis and the Village is pursuing full payment of the fees
from this illegal connection.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 pm.
