Kozor, Plan Reviewer/Inspection Supervisor, Community Development Zoning Variation — Docket #21-31147 Warwick Lane Chairman Childress called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm and read a statement describing the hearing notification procedure as well as the legal notice. The petitioner, Piotr Krupa (Owner of Record), was sworn in and was asked to state his case for requesting the zoning variation. The petitioner stated he wanted to change the look of the house and wanted to install a covered front porch in order to protect the front door from the rain or snow. Chairman Childress opened the meeting to questions from the board. The board members discussed the location and design of the roof projection, the protection of the new concrete porch, the front door replacement, and that the aesthetic of the house would be improved with this alteration. The petitioner stated that his neighbors came and asked what he was proposing once the sign was posted. None of his neighbors offered an objection to the installation. Chairman Childress asked if staff had any comments. Staff member Kozor stated that there were no inquiries nor objections from the public regarding this variance request. No members of the public were in attendance for this meeting. Chairman Childress called for the motion. A Motion to DO GRANT a variation to permit the installation of a covered porch that projects forty- eight inches (48") into the required front yard was made by Member Colgan which was seconded by Member Latrofa. Upon voting (AYES — Bookler, Childress, Colgan, Damptz Jr., Glimco, Latrofa, Spragg) (NAYES- None.) (ABSENT — Romarski, Serrano) The motion carried. Mr. Childress advised the petitioner to contact the Village Clerk and be available for the subsequent Village Board Meeting. The meeting adjourned at 7:15.
