HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2765 - 6/27/2000 - ZONING VARIATION/554 CHARING CROSS RDORDINANCE NO. 2765 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTION 3-6:D-1 AND 7-1 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A GARAGE ADDITION THAT WOULD ENCROACH APPROXIMATELY 2.45 FEET INTO THE REQUIRED SIDE YARD PLUS A ROOF OVERHANG ENCROACHING 4.05 FEET INTO THE REQUIRED SIDE YARD ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 554 CHARING CROSS ROAD, ELK GROVE VILLAGE (MCKAY) WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals, at a Public Hearing duly called and held according to law, considered the question of granting a variation of Sections 3-6:D-1 and 7-1 of the Zoning Ordinance to permit the construction of a garage addition in the required side yard and a roof overhang in the required side yard on property located at 554 Charing Cross Road, Elk Grove Village and legally described hereinafter; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees after having considered the recommendation and finding of said Zoning Board of Appeals, find and believe that sufficient hardship exists so as to justify the granting of said variation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage Illinois as follows: Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Sections 3- 6:D-1 and 7-1 of the Zoning Ordinance as they pertain to required side yard setbacks to permit the construction of a garage addition that would encroach approximately 2.45 feet into the required five foot side yard and a roof overhang that would encroach approximately 4.05 feet into the required five foot side yard on property located at 554 Charing Cross Road and legally described as follows: Lot 1051 in Elk Grove Village Section 2, being a Subdivision in the west half of Section 28, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal meridian, according to the Plat thereof registered in the Office of the Registrar of Titles of Cook County, Illinois on May 1, 1958 as Document 1793822, in Cook County, Illinois. Section 2: That this Ordinance shall remain in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. VOTE: AYES: 5 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 1 PASSED this 27th day of June 2000.
