AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7E -2-A OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
PERTAINING TO SPECIAL USES IN I-1 AND I-2 INDUSTRIAL
DISTRICTS BY ADDING DAY CARE AND CHILD CARE FACILITIES AS A
SPECIAL USE IN CONJUNCTION WITH A PERMITTED PRINCIPAL USE
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, at a Public Hearing duly called and held according to
law, considered the question of amending Section 7E -2-A of the
Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to Special Uses in I-1 and I-2
Industrial Zoning Districts; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village, after having reviewed the recommendation
and finding of said Plan Commission, find and believe it to be in
the best interest of the Village that the Zoning Ordinance be
amended pursuant to the findings of said Plan Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 7E -2-A Commercial and Service
Special Uses in I-1 and I-2 Industrial Districts be amended by
adding thereto (in-between Banks and Hotels and Motels)
the following:
- Day care and Child Care Facilities when associated
with a permitted principal use and primarily
established for the purpose of serving the
needs of the employees of said permitted use.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
VOTE: 5 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 1
