AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7A -3 -C -2b OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
PERTAINING TO CONGREGATE SENIOR HOUSING BY CHANGING THE AGE
REQUIREMENT FROM 60 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO 55 YEARS OF AGE OR
OLDER
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, sitting as a Zoning Commission, at a Public Hearing duly
called and held according to law, considered the question of
amending the Zoning Ordinance of the Village as it pertains to
Congregate Senior Housing to permit eligible senior residents to
be 55 years of age or older; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village, after having considered the recommendation
and finding of said Plan Commission, find and believe that it is
in the best interest of the Village that the Zoning Ordinance be
so amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 7A -3 -C -2b of the Zoning Ordinance,
which Section pertains to Congregate Senior Housing, be amended
by substituting 55 years of age or older for the current
requirement of 60 years of age or older with respect to
eligibility for residing in a Congregate Senior Housing location.
Section 2: That this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
