AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 6, CHAPTER 4,SECTION 6-4-5-4:B
(FIRE LANES) OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK
GROVE VILLAGE BY ADDING DESIGNATED FIRE LANES FOR THE ELK
GROVE VILLAGE TOWN CENTER
WHEREAS, Scott G. Krafthefer, Leasing Representative,
representing Hamilton Partners, being the agent of certain
property located at Arlington Heights and Biesterfield
Roads, (commonly known as Elk Grove Town Center) in Elk
Grove Village, Illinois, have requested of the Village of
Elk Grove Village in writing, that certain areas within
their property be designated as fire lanes, a copy of said
request being attached hereto and incorporated herein as
Exhibit B; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees find and
believe that it is in the best interests to have said area
designated as fire lanes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village,
Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois.
Section 1: That Section 6-4-5-4:B, Fire Lanes
Designated, of the Village Code of the Village of Elk Grove
Village be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto
the following:
Elk Grove Town Center, 900 to 1050 Arlington Heights
Road:
All areas designated as "Fire Lanes" on a map
entitled, "Elk Grove Town Center", which map is
incorporated herein as Exhibit Al and A2,
copies of which are on file in the office
of the Village Clerk.
Section 2: That the owner or owners of the property
where the above signs are to be located are hereby directed to
install and maintain said signs subject to the approval of the
Chief of the Fire Department of the Village of Elk Grove Village.
Section 3: Any person, firm, or corporation who
violates any provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject to a
fine of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00)and no more
than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each offense.
Section 4: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized
to publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
Section 5: That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval according to
law.

RE: Fire Lanes at Elk Grove Town Center
Dear Members of the Village Board:
We the Elk Grove Town Center, L.L.C., being Owner of certain property located at
900-1000 Elk Grove Town Center in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, desire the establishment
of Fire Lanes around our building(s).
I Scott G. Krafthefer, being an Agent of the Owner of the property, do hereby authorize and
permit the Village of Elk Grove Village to establish Fire Lanes on the aforementioned
property. Said Fire Lanes to be located and designated on the property as shown on the Plat
of Survey here attached as Exhibit "A".
It is clearly understood that the Owner of the property will pay for the purchase and
installation of the signs posting the Fire Lane. Said signs to be approved by the Village
before their installation.
It is understood that this Agreement shall expire one year from the date of execution, but
shall be self -renewing for one year periods unless written notice is delivered to the Village
Board from the Owners.
