HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2704 - 6/22/1999 - ZONING VARIATION/TOUHY AVE/GULLOORDINANCE NO. 2704 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTION 4-3:C.1 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO OFF STREET PARKING SPACES IN AN I-2 ZONED DISTRICT TO PERMIT PARKING SPACES 9 FEET BY 18 FEET ON VACANT PROPERTY LOCATED ON TOUHY AVENUE, ELK GROVE VILLAGE (GULLO) WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Elk Grove Village, at a Public Hearing duly called and held according to law, considered a request for a variation from the provisions of Section 4-3:C.1 of the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to the size of off street parking spaces for a proposed building to be located on Touhy Avenue, Elk Grove Village and legally described hereafter; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village, after having considered the recommendation and findings of said Zoning Board of Appeals, find and believe that sufficient hardship exists so as to justify the granting of said variation with the conditions recommended by the Zoning Board of Appeals. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Section 4- 3:C.1 as it pertains to the size of off street parking spaces in an I-2 zoned district to permit the construction of 9 foot by 18 foot parking spaces on the east side of a proposed building on property located on Touhy Avenue, Elk Grove Village and legally described as follows: Lot 2 in Virginia Resubdivision, being a resubdivision of Lot 402 in Centex Industrial Park Unit 249, being a subdivision in the Southwest Quarter of Section 27, and the Northwest Quarter of Section 34, all in Town - Ship 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois. Section 2: That this variation is subject to the condition that Gullo Properties, owners of record, submit an Agreement or Letter of Understanding from the abutting property owner with respect to some form of shared use of a 5 foot wide asphalt strip directly abutting the Gullo property. Such document must be approved by the Director of Engineering and Community Development. Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. VOTE: AYES: 5 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 1 PASSED this 2nd day of ,lune , 1999.
