KNICKERBOCKER Village Attorney Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on February 11, 2020, this Executive Session was called to consider review of Litigation. Number of pages attached: 1 Date(s) of review for release: October 2020 Date of approval for release: Date approved by Village Board: April 14, 2020 February 11, 2020 The vape store by Felicia's Deli previously put in two kiosks, a form of video gambling. The kiosks allow patrons to pay money to get a coupon for a store, and then subsequently patrons can engage in gambling and win money/coupons for different stores. The vape store installed two of these kiosks, which have never been permitted by the Village. The Village issued a citation, but the store owner was resisting compliance, because the machines may be allowable under the State's video gaming regulations. The store owner has now agreed to remove the machines, if required, but also requested that the Village consider allowing these machines, which would allow the Village to collect a $500 annual fee per machine. The consensus of the Board was to continue prohibiting these machines. The meeting was adjourned at 6:28 pm. OUR
