Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Village President and Board of Trustees on February 25, 2020, this Executive Session was
called to consider Land Acquisition.

After coming to a verbal agreement on the sale of the former Phoenix Club, the current owner
tried to change the deal, indicating possible interest from other parties, and asked if the Village
would revisit and submit its final offer in writing. Mayor Johnson directed staff to inform the
property owner that the Village does not do business that way, and to withdraw the purchase
offer. The Village has not heard anything additional from the property owner.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:34 pm.
