HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2720 - 9/28/1999 - ZONING VARIATION/599 OAK STORDINANCE NO. 2720 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTIONS 3-6:D.1 AND 7-1 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO REQUIRED FRONT YARD SETBACKS TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SECOND STORY ADDITION TO AN EXISTING HOUSE WITH A COVERED PORCH WHICH WILL ENCROACH APPROXIMATELY 4 FEET 1 INCH INTO THE REQUIRED FRONT YARD ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 599 OAK STREET, ELK GROVE VILLAGE (HLAVNA-KUMMER) WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals at a Public Hearing duly called and held according to law, considered the question of granting a variation of Sections 3-6:D.1 and 7-1 of the Zoning Ordinance to permit the construction of an addition to an existing house which will encroach approximately 4 feet 1 inch into the required 25 foot front yard setback on property located at 599 Oak Street, Elk Grove Village and legally described hereinafter; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, after having considered the recommendation and finding of said Zoning Board of Appeals, find and believe that sufficient hardship exists so as to justify the granting of said variation. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Sections 3-6:D.1 and 7-1 of the Zoning Ordinance as they pertain to required front yard setbacks, to permit the construction of a second story addition to an existing house with a covered porch which will encroach approximately 4 feet 1 inch into the required 25 foot front yard on property located at 599 Oak Street, Elk Grove Village and legally described as follows: Lot 975 in Elk Grove Village Section 2, being a Subdivision in the West Half of Section 28, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
