HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2633 - 4/14/1998 - SPECIAL USE, 100 LIONS DRORDINANCE NO. 2633 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO CELLULAR ONE TELECOMMUNICATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 100 FOOT MONOPOLE INCLUDING THE INSTALLATION OF WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATION ANTENNAS AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 25 FOOT BY 23 FOOT EQUIPMENT SHELTER ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 100 LTONS DRIVE, EL•K GROVE VIL•L•AGE WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village, at a Public Hearing duly called and held according to law, considered the question of granting a Special Use Permit to Cellular One Telecommunications to permit the construction of a 100 foot monopole including the installation of wireless telecommunication antennas and for the installation of a 25 foot by 23 foot equipment shelter on property located at 100 Lions Drive, Elk Grove Village; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees, after having reviewed the findings and recommendation of said Plan Commission, find and believe it to be in the best interest of the Village that the Special Use Permit be granted, subject to certain conditions hereinafter set forth; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DUPage Illinois as follows: Section 1: That there be granted a Special Use Permit to Cellular One Telecommunications to permit the construction and installation of wireless telecommunication antennas at a height in excess of 90 feet on a 100 foot monopole structure and to construct a 25 by 23 foot equipment shelter on property located at 100 Lions Drive, Elk Grove Village, and legally described as follows: Part of Lot Two in Elk Grove Village Section 3, being a Subdivision in Sections 28, 29, and 33 Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the Plat there- of Recorded on March 11, 1959 as Document No. 17478278 in the Recorder's Office of Cook County, Illinois Section 2: That this Special Use Permit is subject to the following conditions: 1. That the equipment shelter be constructed to match the existing Park District equipment shed on the site; 2. That no fence be installed around the monopole/equipment shelter. 3. That evergreen landscaping for year round screening be installed around the structures. 4. That the Elk Grove Park District review and approve the landscape plan prior to the installation of screening. Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. AYE VOTE: 5 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 1 PASSED this 14th day of April , 1998.
