AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTION 3-6:1) OF THE
ZONING ORDINANCE AS IT PERTAINS TO THE LOCATION OF
PRINCIPAL STRUCTURES IN REQUIRED REAR YARDS TO PERMIT THE
INSTALLATION OF A THREE -SEASON ENCLOSURE WHICH WILL
ENCROACH APPROXIMATELY 8 FEET INTO THE REQUIRED REAR
YARD AT PROPERTY LOCATED AT 711 PENRITH AVENUE, ELK
GROVE VILLAGE (POZZO)
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals, at a Public Hearing duly called
and held according to law, considered the question of granting a variation of Section 3-6:13
of the Zoning Ordinance to permit the installation of an enclosure which would encroach
approximately 8 feet into the required rear yard of property located at 711 Penrith Avenue,
Elk Grove Village and legally described hereinafter; and
WHEREAS, President and Board of Trustees, after having considered the
recommendation of said Zoning Board of Appeals, find and believe that sufficient
hardship exists to justify the granting of said variation,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois,
as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Section 3-6:13 of the Zoning
Ordinance as it pertains to principal structures in the R-3 Zoning District to be
located within the 20 foot required rear yard, to permit the installation of a three -
season enclosure which will encroach approximately 8 feet into the required rear
yard at property located at 711 Penrith Avenue, Elk Grove Village and legally
described as follows:
Lot 3242 in Elk Grove Village Section 10, Being a Subdivision in Sections
28, 29, 32 and 33 Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian, According to the Plat Registered May 22, 1961 as Document No.
1978779, in Cook County, Illinois.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval according to law.
