AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FIRE DEPARTMENT/PARAMEDIC
PERSONNEL OF THE VT L•LAGE OF ELK GROVE VrLL_AC-R
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village is a Home Rule
Municipality as authorized and set forth in the Constitution of the
State of Illinois and as such, authorized to enact certain
legislation pertaining to its local government affairs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, Illinois in exercise of its Home Rule authority as follows:
Section 1, That Fire Department personnel, who are certified,
assigned and function as Paramedics, be awarded an additional
allowance of $2,600.00 annually (effective 5-1-96), $2,700.00
annually (effective 5-1-97), and $2,800.00 annually (effective 5-1-
98) for such certification and performance. This allowance shall be
an addition to their annual salaries or hourly rate.
Section 2, That the above paramedic allowance be allowed for
fifty-one (51) Fire Department employees.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
