AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO SPRINTCOM, INC.
TO PERMIT THE INSTALLATION OF WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATION ANTENNAS
ON THE ELK GROVE VILLAGE WATER TOWER AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 12
FOOT BY 18 FOOT EQUIPMENT SHELTER LOCATED AT 1141 HAWTHORNE LANE,
ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove
Village, acting as a Zoning Commission, conducted a public
hearing at the request of SprintCom to consider the granting of a
Special Use Permit to permit the installation of wireless
telecommunication antennas and the construction of a 12 foot by
18 foot unpainted equipment shelter on property located at 1141
Hawthorne Lane, Elk Grove Village and legally described
hereinafter; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees after having
considered the finding and recommendation of said Plan Commission
find and believe it to be in the best interest of the Village and
that Special User permit be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a Special use Permit to
SprintCom, Inc. to permit the installation of nine (9) wireless
telecommunication antennas at a height of 74 feet on the Elk
Grove Village water tower and the construction of a 12 foot by 18
foot equipment shelter to match the existing Ameritech equipment
shelter including fencing and landscaping, adjacent to said tower
on property located at 1141 Hawthorne Lane and legally described
as follows:
Outlot F in Huntington Chase Phase Two, being a subdivision
of a part of Section 31, Township 41 North, Range 11, East
of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the plat
thereof recorded on June 5, 1995, as Document No. 95363870,
in Cook County, Illinois.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
