HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2659 - 9/22/1998 - ZONING VARIATION/349 CEDAR LNORDINANCE NO. 2659 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTION 3-6:D.1 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO STRUCTURES PROJECTING INTO REQUIRED SIDE YARDS IN AN R-3 ZONING DISTRICT TO PERMIT AN OVERHANG ENCROACHMENT OF 2.5 FEET ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 349 CEDAR E. ELK GROVE VILLAGE (FELDE) WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals, at a Public Hearing, duly called and held according to law, considered the question of granting a variation of Section 3-6:D.1 to permit a 2.5 foot encroachment into the 5 feet required side yard on property located at 349 Cedar Lane and legally described hereinafter; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees, of the Village of Elk Grove Village, after having considered the recommendation and finding of said Zoning Board of Appeals, find and believe that sufficient hardship exists so as to justify the granting of said variation. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees, of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois, as follows: Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Section 3- 6:D.1 of the Zoning Ordinance as it pertains to projecting structures in a required side yard in an R-3 Zoned District to permit the encroachment of a 2.5 foot overhang on property located at 349 Cedar Lane and legally described as follows: Lot 2022 in Elk Grove Village Section 6, being a Subdivision in the East M of Section 33, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois. Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. VOTE: AYES: 6 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 0 PASSED this 22nd day of September , 1998.
