AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 2665 CALLING FOR THE
SUBMISSION OF A PUBLIC QUESTION TO THE VOTERS OF THE VILLAGE
OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE, COOK AND DUPAGE COUNTIES ILLINOIS AT
THE CONSOLIDATED ELECTION ON APRIL 13. 1999
WHEREAS, the Chicago Bears Organization has withdrawn their request for the
Village of Elk Grove Village to consider annexing property for the purpose of
constructing a Football Stadium and Conference Center; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove
Village hereby declare that there is no longer a need to cause an advisory referendum to
be placed on the ballot at the Consolidated Election on April 13, 1999.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Ordinance No. 2665 is hereby repealed.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
passage and approval pursuant to law.
