AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 8, CHAPTER 4,
SECTION 8-4-4:B. ILLUMINATED SIGNS OF THE
VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Title 8, Chapter 4, Section 8-4-4:B.
Illuminated Signs, Paragraph 6. be amended to read as follows:
6. Exposed neon tubing shall be prohibited on all signs.
Neon tubing used in the construction of signs shall be
used only for the interior illumination of the signage
and shall be covered with permanent protective materials
which prevent the neon tubing from being visible from the
exterior upon its illumination.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
