AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE SCAVENGER LICENSE FLAT FEE FOR
THE FIRST QUARTER OF LICENSE YEAR 1997-1998
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove, pursuant
to Ordinance No. 2351 amended Chapter 14 of Title 3 of the Village Code as it pertains to the
licensing of scavengers and the fee for said license; and
WHEREAS, the Preamble of said Ordinance proclaimed a need to increase the licensing
fees as a result of increasing expenses that the Village must meet; and
WHEREAS, the dollar amount for the flat fee for the license year 1997-1998 was re-
served in said Ordinance as a result of further investigation as to costs as well as revenues to be
received by the Village; and
WHEREAS, while the actual amount for the flat fee license for the full year is still being
investigated, it is necessary to establish a flat fee for the first quarter of the license year 1997-
1998, which license year commences June 1, 1997.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That the flat fee for the scavenger license as set forth in Section 3-14-3B.2.a.,
of the Village Code for the first quarter of license year 1997-1998 be established at $2,500.00.
The fee for the remainder of the license year shall be reserved.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval according to law.
