HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2556 - 4/22/1997 - ZONING VARIATION/MEACHAM & NERGEORDINANCE NO. 2556 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO REQUIRED PARKING SPACES AND MINIMUM BUILDING SETBACKS FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF MEACHAM ROAD AND NERGE ROAD, ELK GROVE VILLAGE (MOBIL OIL) WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Elk Grove Village at a pub- lic hearing duly called and held according to law considered the question of granting a variation of Section 4-3-1 of the Zoning Ordinance pertaining to required parking spaces and Section 3- 6:13.1 and 7-1 of the Zoning Ordinance pertaining to minimum building setbacks; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees after having considered the recommen- dation and findings of said Zoning Board of Appeals find and believe that sufficient hardship exists so as to justify the granting of said variations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Section 4-3-1 of the Zoning Ordinance to permit a total of twelve (12) off-street parking spaces on property located at the Northwest corner of Meacham and Nerge Roads (1600 Nerge Road) and legally described hereinafter. Section 2: That there be granted a variation of Section 3-6:D.1 and 7-1 pertaining to minimum building setbacks for commercial property abutting residential zoning to permit the construction of a building to be located forty-three and one-half (43.5) feet from the rear lot line abutting a residential zoned district on property located at the Northwest corner of Meacham and Nerge Roads, Elk Grove Village and legally described as follows: Lot 1 in Mobil Oil Subdivision, being a Subdivision in the West Half of the Northwest quarter of Section 36, Township 41 North, Range 10 East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the Plat thereof recorded August 21, 1978 as Document Number 24596648, all in Cook County, Illinois Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
