HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2560 - 5/13/1997 - SWANCC/DIRECTOR & ALTERNATEORDINANCE NO. 2560 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE APPOINTMENT OF A DIRECTOR AND ALTERNATE DIRECTORS TO THE SOLID WASTE AGENCY OF NORTHERN COOK COUNTY, A MUNICIPAL JOINT ACTION AGENCY NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois, as follows: Section 1. It is found and declared that: (a) The Village of Elk Grove Village (the "Village") is a member of the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (the "Agency") formed pursuant to An Agreement Establishing the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County as a Municipal Joint Action Agency (the "Agency Agreement"); (b) In accordance with Section 8 of the Agency Agreement, the Village has previously appointed a Director and an Alternate Director to the Agency's Board of Directors for terms expiring April 30, 1997; (c) Pursuant to the Agency Agreement, the Village has determined to appoint a Director and Alternate Directors to the Agency's Board of Directors to terms expiring April 30, 1999; (d) The individuals appointed in Section 2 meet the qualifications established in Section 8.2 of the Agency Agreement for serving as a Director and Alternate Directors, respectively. Section 2. The President and Board of Trustees appoint Craig B. Johnson as the Director and Chris Prochno and Gary E. Parrin as Alternate Directors to the Agency's Board of Directors, in each case for a term expiring April 30, 1999, or until his successor is appointed. Section 3. The Clerk of the Village is authorized and directed to send two (2) certified copies of this Ordinance to the Executive Director of the Agency within five days of the adoption and approval of this Ordinance. Section 4. This Ordinance shall be effective upon passage and approval according to law. VOTE: AYES: 6 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 0 PASSED this 13th day of MaY , 1997. APPROVED this 13th day of May , 1997.
