HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2595 - 9/23/1997 - LIQUOR LICENSES AMEND CLASS F & DDORDINANCE NO. 2595 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3 LIQUOR CONTROL OF TITLE 3 BUSINESS AND LICENSE REGULATIONS OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE WHEREAS, the Liquor Commission of the Village, at a public meeting duly called and held according to law, considered several amendments to the Liquor Control Ordinance relating to a temporary Municipal classification, extended hours for Class D Licenses and other amendments deemed appropriate by the Commission; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village, after having considered the recommendation of said Liquor Commission find and believe it to be in the best interest of the Village that the various amendments be adopted. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of Illinois as follows: Section 1. That Section 3-3-6, Classifications of Licenses be amended by adding thereto the following: CLASS F LICENSE (Temporary Municipal) - which shall authorize the selling or serving of alcoholic liquor for consumption on certain designated premises by a Municipal entity within the Village. While the license shall be issued for an entire licensing year, it shall only be valid on specific days requested by the licensee, provided that the request for each such day is received by the Village Clerk ten (10) days prior to each requested date. The request shall set forth the location to be utilized and the hours which the license shall be in effect, but shall not require any further action by the Village Board. CLASS DD LICENSE - which shall authorize the sale of beer, wine, ale, and other malt -based alcoholic liquors only for consumption on the premises for an additional 1 hour of time over and above the closing hours established pursuant to Section 3-3-813. Section 2 . That the last paragraph of Section 3-3-7 Number of Licenses be and the same as is hereby amended to read as follows: In addition to the foregoing, the Village President may issue, upon application and payment of the additional fee provided, a Class AA Liquor License to any holder of a Class A Liquor License or a Class DD Liquor License to any holder of a Class D Liquor License when he, in his sole discretion, deems it advisable and in the best interest of the Village to do so. Section 3. That Section 3-3-I1 Sellers and Servers Education Training Program be amended by adding thereto the following: Section D - The provisions of this Section shall also apply to all Class F Temporary Municipal Licenses issued. Section 4. That Section 3-1-6 Licenses Fees as same pertain to Liquor Licenses be amended by adding the following: CLASS DD LICENSE $1,500.00 CLASS F LICENSE (no fee established) Section 5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and affect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
