HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2601 - 10/14/1997 - VARIATION/LANDSCAPING COMMERCIAL USEORDINANCE NO. 2601 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTION 8-6-3:B-1 PERTAINING TO REQUIRED LANDSCAPING FOR A COMMERCIAL USE (SUBURBAN LOD(-E) WHEREAS, Suburban Lodge, Inc. is in the process of constructing a hotel -type facility at the corner of Higgins Road and Landmeier Road in Elk Grove Village; and WHEREAS, due to the configuration of the property and the facility and parking lot to be located thereon, it is necessary that a variation of the 10 foot minimum depth requirement for all landscaping be issued to Suburban Lodge; and WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering and Community Development has approved the requested variation provided that the landscaping to be installed be in conformance with the landscape plan prepared June 17, 1997 by Marchris Engineering Limited; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Section 8-6-3:B-1 of the Village Code to permit boundary landscaping in such location as set forth in the previously described landscape plan, which landscape plan is hereby approved, three (3) copies of which are on file in the office of the village Clerk. Section 2: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
