BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Title 2, Boards and Commissions, of
the Village Code be and the same as is hereby amended by
adding thereto a new Chapter which shall be as set forth
in Exhibit A attached hereto.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval according
to law.

EXHIBIT A
CHAPTER 14
2-11-1 COMMISSION CREATED; PURPOSE There is hereby
established a Parade Commission of the Village for the
purpose of organizing, overseeing, and establishing
guidelines and procedures for the annual Village Parade.
2-14-2 MEMBERSHIP; APPOINTMENT; TERM: The Parade
Commission shall consist of ten (10) members, one of whom
shall be a Village Trustee and each of whom shall be
appointed by the Village President with the consent of the
Board of Trustees for a term of four (4) years or such
lesser period of time in order that all appointments
terminate on April 30, 2001, and every four (4) years
thereafter.
2-14-3 ORGANIZATION: At the May Commission Meeting
of each year, the Commission shall meet and elect a
Chairperson, Vice -Chairperson and Secretary who shall serve
as such from May 1st until the last day of April of the
succeeding year or until a successor is duly elected. The
Commission shall appoint such sub -committees as it may deem
necessary. All meetings shall be held at the call of the
Chairperson and at such date and time as such Commission may
determine. All meetings shall be opened to the public.
2-14-4 COMPENSATION: No member shall receive
compensation for any service performed.
