AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTION 3-6:D.1 OF THE ZONING
ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO STRUCTURES IN REQUIRED REAR YARDS TO
PERMIT THE INSTALLATION OF A ROOM ADDITION IN A PORTION OF THE
REQUIRED REAR YARD ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 601 GROSVENER LANE,
ELK GROVE VILLAGE (GALLO)
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Elk Grove Village at a pub -
lie hearing, duly called and held according to law, considered the question of granting a variation
of Section 3-6:1).1 of the Zoning Ordinance to permit the construction of a room addition which
would encroach approximately 4.65 feet into the required 20 foot rear yard on property located at
601 Grosvener Lane, Elk Grove Village and legally described hereinafter; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village, after considering the
recommendation and finding of said Zoning Board of Appeals, find and believe that sufficient
hardship exists so as to justify the granting of said variation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Section 3-6:1).1 of the Zoning Ordinance
as it pertains to structures within a required rear yard to permit the construction of a room addi-
tion that would encroach approximately 4.65 feet into the required 20 foot rear yard on property
located at 601 Grosvener Lane, Elk Grove Village and legally described as follows:
Lot 1184 in Elk Grove Village Section 2, being a Subdivision in the West Half
of Section 28, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meri-
dian, according to Plat thereof registered in the Office of the Registrar of Titles
of Cook County, Illinois, on May 1, 1958, as Document Number 1793822, in
Cook County, Illinois
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval according to law.
