AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 6, CHAPTER 6, SECTION 6-3-6-4:
A. 3 TOWING FEES OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK
BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as
follows:
Section 1: That Title 6-3-6-4 A. 3 of the Village Code be and
the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
3. Towing Fees: The towage fee for the removal of cars or
vehicles, whether by commercial service or by Village operated
vehicles, shall be sixty five dollars ($65.00). In addition
thereto, the owner or operator may be subject to an additional
charge of up to fifteen dollars ($15.00) for preparation of the
vehicle for towing if the vehicle is embedded or positioned in
such a manner that normal towing services cannot be readily
performed and/or a storage fee of up to eighteen dollars ($18.00)
per day. Such fees shall be in addition to any fines, penalties or
court costs which may be assessed or the violations of any of the
provisions of this Section or any other ordinance violation.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
