HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2470 - 3/12/1996 - REZONE/900 HIGGINS RD (CIB BANK)ORDINANCE NO_ 2470 AN ORDINANCE REZONING PROPERTY LOCATED AT 900 HIGGINS ROAD, ELK GROVE VILLAGE FROM B-1 SHOPPING CENTER BUSINESS DISTRICT TO B-3 AUTOMOTIVE ORIENTED BUSINESS DISTRICT (CIB BANK) WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Vil- lage, acting as a Zoning Commission, at a public hearing duly called and held, considered the question of rezoning property from the B-1 Shopping Center Business District to the B-3 Automotive Oriented Business District, said property being located at 900 Higgins Road, Elk Grove Village and legally described hereinafter; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees, after having re- viewed the recommendation and finding of said Plan Commission, find and believe it to be in the best interest of the Village that said property be rezoned to the B-3 District. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That the property located at 900 Higgins Road, Elk Grove Village be rezoned from the B-1 Shopping Center Busi- ness District to the B-3 Automotive Oriented Business District for the construction of a full service bank which drive-thru fa- cilities. The legal description of said property is as follows: Lot 2 in Telar 4th Resubdivision of Lots 1 and 2 in Telar Third Resubdivision of Lot 1 in Finegan Subdi- vision Unit 3, being a Subdivision in the West Half of Section 22, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois Section 2: That the rezoning to the B-3 District is condi- tioned upon the Petitioner, CIB Bank, constructing the bank and drive-thru facility within one (1) year from the date this Ordi- nance is adopted. Should said facility not be so constructed, then the property shall revert back to the B-1 Shopping Center Business District. Section 3: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to amend the Official Zoning Map of the Village in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance. Section 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. VOTE: AYES: 6 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 0 PASSED this 12th day of March , 1996.
