Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Village President and Board of Trustees on August 11, 2020, this Executive Session was
called to consider review of Land Acquisition.

~" The Village Attorney provided an update on the condemnation of the outlot adjacent to the Elk
Grove Hotel. A letter is going out tomorrow officially ending the condemnation negotiation for
the outlot property. The Village will be filing the condemnation law suit this week. There is an
item on tonight's Board Agenda to update the legal description for the property to prevent a
technicality from becoming an issue. The Village Attorney indicated it will likely take a few
months to come to a settlement with the property owner. The Village's current offer for the
property is $1.30 million. He believes it may be possible to settle for $2 million, which could
remove the use restrictions that would exist if a price has to be determined by the judge.
