The State of Illinois adopted legislation creating a holiday on November 3, requiring both state
offices and local government offices to close in order to protect workers from the spread of
COVID-19 on Election Day. The Illinois Municipal Conference is suing the State of Illinois to
the effect that local governments which do not act as polling places should be allowed to stay
open.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:21 pm.
