Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting
of the Village President and Board of Trustees on September 8, 2020, this Executive Session was
called to consider review of Land Acquisition.

The Village Board was advised that staff was in the process of presenting a purchase offer to Mr.
Patel in the amount of $4.5 million for the Days Inn Hotel. It was noted that although Mr. Patel
has given verbal approval on purchase price, staff was uncertain if he would concur with the
conditions outlined in the purchase agreement or attempt to increase the sales price. Should Mr.
Patel not sell his property, the Village Board authorized the Village Attorney to pursue
involuntary annexation.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:56 pm.
