SCHMIDT Village Trustee Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on December 8, 2020, this Executive Session was called to consider review of Personnel. Number of pages attached: Date(s) of review for release: Date of approval for release: 1 February 2021 Date approved by Village Board: January 12, 2021 December 8, 2020 5:41 pm The Village's existing COVID-19 benefits provides employees 80 hours or two weeks of additional benefit time. The Fire Union has expressed dissatisfaction, because 80 hours does not cover two weeks of their regular schedule. Neighboring communities have provided enough benefit time to allow for two weeks of a regular firefighter's schedule. So far only a few firefighters have used this benefit time. The consensus of the Board was to approve a retroactive change to this policy, providing for enough hours to cover two full weeks of benefit time for firefighters. The meeting was adjourned at 5:43 pm.
