HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2411 - 2/28/1995 - SPECIAL USE/2951 TOUHY AVEORDINANCE NO. 2411 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO SEMEO, INC. TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A HOTEL/MOTEL ON I-1 INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT ZONED PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2951 TOUHY AVENUE. ELK GROVE VILLAGE (SUPER 8) WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Vil- lage, at a public hearing duly called and held according to law, considered the question of granting a Special Use Permit to Semeo, Inc. (Super 8) to permit the construction of a hotel/motel on I-1 Industrial District Zoned property located at 2951 Touhy Avenue and legally described hereinafter; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, after considering the recommendation and find- ings of said Plan Commission, find and believe it to be in the best interest of the Village that said Special Use Permit be granted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That there be granted a Special Use Permit to Semeo, Inc. to permit the construction of a Super 8 hotel/motel in an I-1 Industrial Zoned District on property located at 2951 Touhy Avenue and legally described as follows: Lot 1 in Touhy-Higgins Resubdivision #1, being a re- subdivision of Lot 4 in Touhy-Higgins Subdivision, in the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 36, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois subject to the following conditions: A. That the dumpster depicted on the previously sub- mitted Site Plan be relocated to the Southeast cor- ner of the property without altering the landscape island located in the Southwest corner of the pro- perty. B. That the fire hydrant to be placed on Touhy Avenue be located as approved by the Fire Department and the Department of Engineering and Community Develop- ment. C. That the Special Use Permit granted herein is sub- ject to the approval by Village staff of Final En- gineering Plans to be submitted hereafter. Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. PASSED this 28th day of February , 1995.
