AN ORDINANCE AMENDING POSITION CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY PLAN,
OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE (FIRE DEPARTMENT)
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village is a Home Rule Municipality
as authorized and set forth in the Constitution of the State of Illinois
and as such, authorized to enact certain legislation pertaining to its
local government affairs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois,
in exercise of its Home Rule authority as follows:
Section 1: That the Position Classification and Salary Plan, be and
the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the following:
AUTHORIZED POSITIONS
PERMANENT TEMPORARY TOTAL
FIRE DEPT. Mav 1. 1994 ADD March 28. 1995
Firefighter 63 1* 64
*Denotes one temporary Firefighter appointment to replace the Firefighter
who will be promoted to the vacant Lieutenant position upon the posting of
the retirement of a Lieutenant in early May of 1995. This will provide the
Department with the opportunity to have a Firefighter advanced in his/her
training when the vacancy occurs. The added temporary position will
terminate upon the promotion of the Firefighter to the vacant Lieutenant
position, thus maintaining a permanent authorized staffing of 63
firefighters.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
