AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTION B -4-3-1D OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE TO PERMIT TWO NON -ILLUMINATED TEMPORARY FREE-
STANDING SIGNS FOR THE HUNTINGTON CHASE TOWNHOME DEVELOPMENT
(LEXINGTON HOMES)
WHEREAS, Lexington Homes has requested the President and Board
of Trustees to consider a variation of Section 8-4-3-1D of the Sign
Ordinance of the Municipal Code to permit the placement of two non -
illuminated temporary free-standing signs which would total 934
square feet in area, which signs would front I-290 in a v -shaped
configuration and would advertise the new Huntington Chase Town -
home Development; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees are of the opin-
ion that the temporary variation as requested is necessary and in
the best interest of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Section 8-4-
3-1D of the Municipal Code to permit the placement of two non -illu-
minated temporary free-standing signs with a total area of both
signs being 934 square feet for Huntington Chase Townhome Develop-
ment (Lexington Homes).
Section 2: That this variation shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law
and shall expire automatically three (3) years from the effective
date of this Ordinance and/or within thirty (30) days following
the issuance of the last temporary certificate of occupancy, which-
ever first occurs.
