AN ORDINANCE AMENDING POSITION CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY PLAN,
OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE (FIRE DEPARTMENT)
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village is a Home Rule Municipality
as authorized and set forth in the Constitution of the State of Illinois
and as such, authorized to enact certain legislation pertaining to its
local government affairs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois,
in exercise of its Home Rule authority as follows:
Section 1: That the Position Classification and Salary Plan, be and
the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the following:
AUTHORIZED POSITIONS
PERMANENT TEMPORARY TOTAL
FIRE DEPT. May 1, 1995 ADD JULY 11, 1995
Firefighter 69 2* 71
*Denotes two temporary Firefighter appointments to replace two (2)
Firefighters, one who is retiring on August 1, 1995 and the other
anticipated pensioning in August, 1995. This will provide the Department
with the opportunity to have Firefighters advanced in his/her training when
the vacancies occur. The added temporary positions will terminate upon the
retirement of the two Firefighters, thus maintaining a permanent authorized
staffing of 69 firefighters.
Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
