ORDINANCE NO. 2441
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF THE SUBDIVISION CONTROL
ORDINANCE AND SECTIONS 3-6:B AND 3-6:D.2 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SHED FIVE (5') FEET FROM
THE LOT LINE IN A SIDE YARD WHICH FRONTS ON A STREET ON
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2 SYLVAN COURT, ELK GROVE VILLAGE (GEARHART)
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Elk
Grove Village at a public meeting duly called and held according
to law considered the question of granting a variation of Sections
3-6:B and 3-6:D.2 of the Zoning Ordinance to permit the construction
of a shed five (5') feet from the lot line in a side yard on pro-
perty located at 2 Sylvan Court and legally described hereinafter;
and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees after having con-
sidered the recommendation and findings of said Zoning Board of Ap-
peals in addition to considering a necessary variation of the Sub-
division Control Ordinance to permit the construction of the shed
over public utility easements find and believe that sufficient hard-
ship exists so as to justify the granting of said variation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Sections
3-6:B and 3-6:D.2 of the Zoning Ordinance as they pertain to per-

mitted locations for accessory structures to permit the construc-
tion of a shed that would be located five (5') feet from the lot
line in a side yard which fronts on a street on property located
at 2 Sylvan Court, Elk Grove Village and legally described as follows:
Lot 2 in Better Living Subdivision, being a Subdivi-
sion of Part of the Southeast a of Section 29, Town-
ship 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois
Section 2: That there be granted a variation of the Subdivi-
sion Control Ordinance to permit the construction of the shed over
a public utility easement.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
