HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2449 - 9/26/1995 - ZONING VARIATION, 2180 PRATT BLVDORDINANCE NO. 2449 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION OF SECTIONS 3-6:B, 3-6:D AND THE BULK REGULATIONS OF SECTION 7-1 AND SECTION 4-3-1 C. AND D. TO PERMIT THE LOCATION OF A PRINCIPAL STRUCTURE IN TWO FRONT YARD AREAS AND A REDUCTION IN THE NUMBER OF PARKING SPACES REQUIRED FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2180 PRATT BOULEVARD, ELK GROVE VILLAGE (MATERIAL SCIENCES CORP.) WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals at a public meeting duly called and held according to law considered the question of grant- ing a variation of various Sections of the Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance No. 2410 to permit a building reconstruction which would encroach two (2') feet into the required front yard along Pratt Boulevard and as much as three feet eight (3'8") inches into the front yard along Nicholas Boulevard and to reduce the required parking to one hundred eighty-eight (188) spaces from the present requirement of three hundred thirty (330) off-street parking spaces for property located at 2180 Pratt Boulevard, Elk Grove Village and legally described hereinafter; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees after having considered the recommendation and finding of said Zoning Board of Appeals find and believe that the granting of said variation would be in the best interest of the Village and that sufficient hardship exists so as to justify the granting of said variation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DUPage, Illinois as follows; Section 1: That there be granted a variation of Sections 3-6:B, 3-6:D and the bulk regulations in Section 7-1 to permit the reconstruction of a building that would encroach two (2') feet into the required front yard along Pratt Boulevard and encroach- ments ranging from eight (8") to three feet eight (3'8") inches in the required front yard along Nicholas Boulevard and to reduce the required parking to one hundred eighty-eight (188) spaces from the present requirement of three hundred thirty (330) off-street parking spaces on property located at 2180 Pratt Boulevard and legally described as.follows: The West 580.80 feet of Lot 12 in Centex Industrial Park Unit 2, being a Subdivision in Section 35, Town- ship 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois. Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. PASSED this 26th day of September , 1995.
