HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE - 2451 - 9/26/1995 - SPECIAL USE, SW CORNER OAKTON/BUSSEORDINANCE NO. 2451 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO CEDARWOOD DEVELOPMENT, INC. TO PERMIT THE CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF A RETAIL OFFICE AND FURNITURE SUPPLY FACILITY IN AN I-1 INDUSTRIAL ZONED DISTRICT LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF OAKTON STREET AND BUSSE ROAD, ELK GROVE VILLAGE WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Vil- lage at a public meeting duly called and held according to law con- sidered the question of granting a Special Use Permit to Cedarwood Development, Inc. to permit the construction of a 23,500 square foot Office Max store with possible expansion to 30,000 square feet thereafter on property located at the Southwest corner of Oakton Street and Busse Road and legally described hereinafter; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees after having reviewed the recommendation and findings of said Plan Commission find and believe that it is in the best interest of the Village that said Special Use Permit be granted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows: Section 1: That there be granted a Special Use Permit in accordance with Section 7E-2 of the Zoning Ordinance of the Vil- lage of Elk Grove Village to permit the retail sale of office sup- ply and furniture products in an I-1 Industrial District on pro- perty located at the Southwest corner of Oakton Street and Busse Road and legally described as follows: Lot 2 in Sixpence Subdivision Unit 2, being a Resubdi- vision of Lot 162 in Higgins Industrial Park Unit 112 and of Lots 1 and 2 in Sixpence Inn Subdivision, being a Resubdivision of Lot 161 in said Higgins Industrial Park Unit 112, being a Subdivision in the Northeast Quarter of Section 27, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois Lot 3 in Sixpence Subdivision Unit 2, being a Resubdi- vision of Lot 162 in Higgins Industrial Park Unit 112 and of Lots 1 and 2 in Sixpence Inn Subdivision, being a Resubdivision of Lot 161 in said Higgins Industrial Park Unit 112, being a Subdivision in the Northeast Quarter of Section 27, Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois. Section 2: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
