AN ORDINANCE GRANTING SITING APPROVAL TO HANDY & HARMON
FOR A PRECIOUS METALS RECOVERY FACILITY AT
1900 ESTES AVENUE, ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, Handy & Harmon has requested the Village to consider
a siting approval for a precious metals recovery facility at 1900
Estes Avenue, Elk Grove Village; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees conducted a pub-
lic hearing, with proper notice, with respect to said siting ap-
proval, within such timeframe and in such manner as is required
by applicable State regulations; and
WHEREAS, at said hearing there were no objections raised to
said facility nor were there any written objections filed within
the thirty (30) day period subsequent to said public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees find and believe
it to be in the best interest of the Village to grant the siting
approval as requested.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That siting approval is hereby granted to Handy
& Harmon to operate a precious metals recovery facility at 1900
Estes Avenue, Elk Grove Village.
Section 2: That the Village Manager is hereby directed to
execute on behalf of the Village a Certification of Siting Approval
to the State of Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
