AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3 LIQUOR CONTROL OF TITLE 3
OF THE VILLAGE CODE BY ESTABLISHING A CLASS E LIQUOR LICENSE
FOR LICENSED FOOD CATERERS IN THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
Du Page, State of Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Section 3-3-6 of the Villaoe Code
(CLASSIFICATION OF LICENSES) be and the same is hereby amended by
adding thereto the following:
CLASS E LICENSE (CATERERS) - which shall authorize
a licensed food caterer to sell or serve alcoholic
liquor for consumption on such premises where food
is served by the caterer.
Section 2: That Section 3-3-7 of the Village Code (NUMBER OF
LICENSES) be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the
following:
Liquor License Number
Class E 1
Section 3: That Paragraph A. of Section 3-3-11 (SELLERS' AND
SERVERS' EDUCATION TRAINING PROGRAM) of the Village Code be amended to
read as follows:
A. It shall be unlawful to permit any person in a
Class A or Class AA licensed establishment or any employee
of a Class E license to serve or sell alcoholic beverages
unless that person has completed a BASSET Training Program
or approved equivalent as required or employ a manager unless
that person has completed the BASSET Program or approved
equivalent.
Section 4: That Section 3-5F-1 (DEFINITION) of Article F.
CATERERS of the Village Code be and the same is hereby amended by
deleting therefrom the parenthetical phrase "(other than alcoholic
liquor)".
Section 5: That Section 3-1-6 of the Village Code (LICENSE
FEES) be and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the following:
Liquor
Class E $2,500.00
Section 6: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to
publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
Section 7: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
