AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 4, CHAPTER 6, MUNICIPAL WASTE
SYSTEM, OF THE OFFICIAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE
VILLAGE, BY ESTABLISHING THEREIN PENALTY PROVISIONS FOR THE
VILLAGE'S MUNICIPAL WASTE SYSTEM
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
Du Page, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That Chapter 6, Municipal Waste System, of Title 4
of the Municipal Code, be amended by adding a new Section 4-6-6,
Penalties, which shall read as follows:
4-6-6: Penalties: Any person violating the provisions of
this Chapter shall be subject to a fine of not less than
twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than five -hundred
dollars ($500.00) for each offense, and a separate offense
shall be deemed committed on each day on which a violation
occurs or continues to exist. In addition to any such
penalty, the Village may initiate such injunctive relief as
is necessary in the Third Municipal District of the Circuit
Court of Cook County, Illinois, including the issuance of a
temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction, in
order to abate any such violation as is set forth in this
Chapter.
Section 2: That the Village Clerk is hereby authorized to
publish this Ordinance in pamphlet form.
Section 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according
to law.
